A part of the exhibition in the end, I just miss the before, this large-scale installation reflects the fleeting nature of childhood naivety and the quiet, formative ways queer relationships develop in youth. The figures draw from my own lived experience, portraying my relationship with my best friend through a storybook-like lens, centered on a specific night in July 2011.
